2nd Regional Service de Export Meeting - Software and IT sectors
The Trade Department of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade holds during Rio Info the 2nd Regional Service de Export Meeting - Software and IT sectors. The purpose of the meeting is to advertise to software and IT export support public instrument sector companies the strengthening of communication channels of the companies with agencies responsible for the management of these mechanisms. Specialists from MDIC (Trade and Services -SCS), Apex-Brasil, Bank of Brazil and BNDES will present the mechanisms and settle participants’ doubts.
International Round of Negotiations
A round of negotiations will support the internationalization of IT companies through partnerships in which they will be able to expedite improvements making them more competitive in marketing, commercial and technical areas. The focus is to operate overseas and not only export, because "in this manner there is direct reflex on generating new workplaces, professional training and the growth of Brazilian companies", explains Technological Forum coordinator, Giosafatte Gazzaneo. Companies from Spain, Portugal and Angola, among others, are in attendance.
National Round of Negotiations
The National Round of Negotiations will activate TIC (Information and Communication Technology) service network – one of Proimpe (Stimulation Program of Information Technology Use in Micro and Small Companies) actions, developed by National Sebrae (Brazilian Small Enterprise Assistance Service) – in partnership with Fenainfo, Assespro and Softex, aimed at articulating software product offering to service providers of all localities and solution demanding companies. Delegations from Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Distrito Federal, among several other states are in attendance.
Lecture Cycle
The purpose of the Business Forum is to discuss models and allow experience exchange, based upon themes such as: business networking, monetization on the internet and web entrepreneurship and innovation.
Business Meeting: IT in Sports
The opportunities generated for IT companies in large-size events, such as the Olympic Games and the Soccer World Cup will be in debate. Representatives from organizing entities will be in attendance and it will be possible to discuss resulting business in cities with the natural vocation for this kind of activity, such as Rio de Janeiro, and the legacy that can be used in other places in the world.
Brazil IT – Vertical Oil: Brazilian IT in the world Oil and Gas market
An environment focused on companies participating in Softex Brazil-IT Program with support by Apex, which have oil and gas-oriented products and services. Brazilian potentialities will be discussed with overseas businessmen and guests. The companies will have contact with international consultancies for Brazilian insertion into this market.
Portugal Technological Exhibit
Portugal Technological Exhibit will offer Brazilian Companies the chance to deepen contacts with the Portuguese delegation, focused on generation of partnerships for operation in the international market. It will be the continuation of several approach actions between companies of both countries.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Meeting
It will gather Brazilian companies and from Latin America invited countries for presentation of cases, exchange of experiences and articulation of partnerships. It seeks to encourage development of business incubators, technological complexes and IT area entrepreneurship.
Business and Free Software Workshop
It will have lectures and panels for Public Interest Software presentation and debate and opportunities for IT MPEs, the importance of governmental purchases in open solution environment, business models (legislation, licensing and distribution), contribution of initiatives by large corporation, e-Gov world. Opportunities for companies, and mainly business models of Brazilian IT companies that operate with Free Software platform in the domestic market, independently from the government.
Innovation Hall
The core focus of the Innovation Hall will be IT projects approved in the first phase of PRIME. Innovating projects will be selected aiming at minimizing the perverse effects of the current global turbulence. Each project will make a 20-minute display to an examination board that should judge, discuss and guide in order to increase the success rate of new businessmen.

Quick, economic and quality software development: state-of-the-art and practice
Purpose: To explore, both from conceptual and experimental point of view, the main tools, methods, perspectives and economic and managerial implications of growing pressure by shorter terms and costs and greater quality in software products. Selected cases: Experiences and company projects, including those that invest in certified processes (CMMI and MPS-Br), agile methodologies, etc.
Cutting infrastructure costs
Purpose: to discuss challenges and opportunities related to compatible solutions with energy saving demands and costs in general: virtualization, cloud computing, “green IT”, energy management, utilization of computational resource idleness, remote working, etc. Selected cases: Experiences and company projects and/or in academia
Distribution and creative use of information and knowledge versus global challenges
Purpose: To discuss opportunities and current trends and implications (including technical, social, economic and legal) of information, content and culture distribution through the web: new proposals, opportunities and projects related to wide and accessible dissemination of content in all environments, including mobile solutions, etc. Selected cases: Experiences and company projects and/or in academia
Social networks: experiences and creative opportunities
Purpose: To present and debate concepts connected to the most dynamic and creative experiences, supported on social networks via web: protocols and standards, uses and experiments, digital marketing, network risks and limits, opportunities for companies and people control, mechanisms, economic aspects, education and information, social deviations, etc. Selected cases: Experiences and company projects and/or in academia
Internet security
